| The first step is to remove the remote control from the key ring. I had trouble popping open the key fob using several flathead screwdrivers until I figured out that a U.S. Quarter would work best. Insert the edge of the Quarter into the notch located next to the key ring hole and turn it to pry open the two halves of the remote. | ||||

| Once the halves of the key fob remote control are separated, you can gently pry out the Panasonic CR2032 3V watch battery with a small flathead screwdriver from the bottom half of the key fob. Replace the old battery with a new one, being sure to place the "+" (top) side of the battery down. Finish the job by lining up the two halves of the key fob and snap them together. Then re-attach the key ring and test to see if the new battery vastly increases the distance at which you can lock or unlock the doors and pop open the trunk. | ||||
