Honda Civic Engine Oil Change Guide - 1.8L I4 VTEC
One of the easiest ways to keep your eighth generation (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011) Honda Civic running reliably for many years to come is to regularly change the motor oil in the 1.8 liter inline four cylinder VTEC engine.
The owner's manual recommends using SAE 5W-20 weight oil for this Honda Civic. Only some common hand tools and a few other items are needed to complete this procedure.
Honda Civic Front Brake Pads Replacement Guide
The front brake pads on a 2006 to 2011 Honda Civic generate about 80% of the vehicle's braking force. So they will usually need to be replaced 2-3 times before the rear brakes need servicing.
I'd recommend purchasing ceramic brake pads since they are less likely to squeak or squeal and emit a lot less brake dust on your wheels.
Honda Civic Headlight Bulbs Replacement Guide
There are three bulbs in the headlight assembly of a 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011 Honda Civic. They include the low beam, high beam, and turn signal / parking light bulbs.
Only a few simple hand tools are needed to replace any of the bulbs on either the passenger or driver side of the car. New bulbs can be purchased at just about any auto parts store or big box retailer with an automotive section.
Honda Civic Tail Light Bulbs Replacement Guide
The tail light assembly of the 2006 to 2011 Honda Civic houses the brake, turn signal / parking, reverse or "back up" and side marker light bulbs.
