| The
Sherman Library & Botanical Gardens is one of our favorite
attractions in the affluent neighborhood of Corona Del Mar of South
West Orange County, California. We discovered the gardens by perusing the "Reciprocal Gardens" list of our AHS (American Horticultural Society) membership pamphlet. The AHS membership grants us free admission although the visit is well worth the usual $3 donation per person. There is usually some free one hour parking on PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) right in front of the entrance. You can also park on Fernleaf Ave. in the residential neighborhood behind the gardens. Besides enjoying the beautiful flowers in the gardens, browsing in the gift shop, or admiring the quaint library, visitors can also enjoy brunch or lunch at the Cafe Jardin restaurant. |

| The Sherman Library
& Gardens are open to visitors every day from 10:30 AM to 4 PM except
Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Admission is $3 per adult, $1
for children 12-16, and free for kids under 12. Everyone gets in for free on
Mondays! To find the gardens with a GPS unit, set it for 2647 East Pacific Coast Highway, Corona Del Mar, CA 92625. For any other questions, contact the staff directly at (949) 673-2261. |

Some of the
wildlife that can be seen in Sherman Gardens include hummingbirds,
Japanese Koi goldfish, butterflies, turtles, ducks, and "friendly" bees that don't seem to mind
having their pictures taken up close.
