| This past
Saturday, we put on our Halloween costumes and attended the 3rd
annual "Paddle for Privates" stand up paddle boarding parade. Over 150 people showed up to enjoy some exercise on the water, see humorous costumes, eat lunch, party and support the Athletes for Cancer charity fund. Registration was $45 in advance or $60 the day of the event which included a goodie bag, boxer shorts for the guys, tank tops for the ladies, loaner stand up paddleboards, lunch on Lido Island and a beach party after the paddling parade. We paddled about 4.5 miles from the Dunes Resort in Newport Back Bay to Lido Island for lunch and back while DJ Andy kept the music going on and off the water. |
