This
automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners
of the first generation (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and possibly also
the updated 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014) Ford Edge CUV in replacing the
high beam, low beam and turn signal / parking light bulbs in the
headlight assembly. Owners of other Ford, Lincoln or Mercury vehicles such as the Taurus, Fiesta, Fusion, Focus, Mustang, Flex, Ranger, F-150, Escape, Explorer, Expedition, MKZ, MKX, MKS, MKT, Navigator, Milan, Mariner, Mountaineer, Grand Marquis & Town Car may also find this guide to be helpful. The headlight assembly of the 2007-2010 Ford Edge contains three light bulbs with the following replacement part #'s: Low Beam # H11, High Beam # 9005, and the amber Turn Signal / Parking Light # 3157A. No tools are needed to replace any of the light bulbs, although a small flathead screwdriver or a plastic pry bar tool makes it easier to pry up the retaining clips on the power connectors. |

Remove Low Beam Bulb |
|
There's plenty of
space behind the headlight assemblies of the 2007-2010 Ford Edge, so nothing
needs to be removed to access the light bulbs.
(Be sure to never touch the glass part of these halogen light bulbs. If you do touch the glass, wipe off the bulbs with an alcohol moistened tissue or paper towel.) The low beam headlamp is located at the top of the assembly and can be removed by turning the base 1/4 turn counter clockwise. |

Test the new low beam bulb by turning on the headlights. |

Install New High Beam |
1/4 Turn Clockwise |
Insert the new high beam bulb into the headlight assembly (it only goes in one way) and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to secure it. | ||
Turn Signal / Parking Light |
Signal Light Socket |
1/4 Turn Counter Clockwise |
The turn signal /
parking light bulb is located at the outermost edge of the headlight
assembly closest to the side of the vehicle.
Rotate the socket at the rear of the headlight 1/4 turn counter clockwise and pull it straight out from the assembly. Lift the old turn signal bulb straight out of the socket and push in a new Wagner or Sylvania # 3157A amber colored light bulb. You can also use a number 4157NA light bulb. If you plan on keeping your vehicle for a long time, I'd recommend buying the "LL" or "Long Life" bulbs. |
