Key Fob Battery Change

After a few years of daily use, the battery inside the smart or "intelligent access" key fob remote control for the keyless entry and push button start systems of a 2nd generation (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and possibly also the face-lifted 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022) Ford Edge SUV can become weak or stop working entirely.

Cabin Air Filter Change

If the air conditioning system in your Ford Edge hasn't been working well recently or the air coming out of the vents smells a bit musty or moldy, you may need to clean or change the cabin air filter element in the HVAC blower motor housing.

The engine air filter element for the EcoBoost 2.0 liter inline four cylinder turbocharged engine in a Ford Edge should be checked and cleaned at every oil change (7,500 miles) and then replaced at the owner's manual service interval specification of 30,000 miles.

Door Panel Removal

If you would like to upgrade the OEM door speakers in your Ford Edge, you'll first have to take off the plastic interior door panels (also known as the "trim covers").

Electrical Fuse Change

The best place to start when troubleshooting any electrical issue with your Ford Edge is to check for a blown fuse or a faulty relay in either the engine bay or the interior passenger compartment electrical panels.

Intake Air Temperature

Some of the symptoms of a dirty or faulty air intake temperature sensor include hesitation, stalling, backfiring, rough idling, excessive fuel consumption (low MPG / fuel economy), slow starting when cold and lack of power / slow acceleration.

Engine Oil Change

The best way to keep your Edge running reliably for many years is to regularly change the motor oil and replace the oil filter when indicated by the Intelligent Oil Life Monitor which should be about every 7,500 to 10,000 miles.

Courtesy Step Light Bulb

The Ford Edge is equipped with courtesy step lights or "puddle lights" in the bottom of the side view mirror housings.
