This automotive "how to" instruction guide was specifically written to assist owners of the 2006 Dodge Caravan minivan in replacing a burnt out headlight bulb and/or parking / turn signal light bulb.

Owners of other fourth generation Dodge Caravans, Grand Caravans, Chrysler Voyager or Chrysler Town & Country minivans from 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 may also find the guide to be useful.

The 2001-2007 Dodge Caravan comes equipped with a combination low beam & high beam headlamp.

Replacement headlight bulbs from Sylvania and other manufacturers will have 9007 in the part number.

A replacement front turn signal or "parking" light bulb is part # 3457A.

The only tool needed for this procedure is a flat head screwdriver.

A pair of pliers, a crescent wrench or even a Leatherman Multi-Tool will also get the job done.

Each headlight is held in place by three flat head screws.

The screws could also be removed with a socket set, a crescent wrench or a pair of pliers.

Once you have the three screws removed, put them aside in a safe place.

Then gently pull the entire headlight assembly away from the vehicle and lay it down on the front bumper.

In order to replace the bulb, you'll have to pry up the black plastic retaining clips and pull the light bulb's base away from the power connector.

You can purchase a replacement # 9007 combination high and low beam headlight bulb at any auto parts store.

Many different makes and models of automobiles use this same bulb.

To finish replacing the headlight bulb, just reverse the steps above. Push the base of the headlight bulb into the power connector's plug.

Then insert the bulb into the headlight assembly. It only goes in one way, so don't force it.

To replace the # 3457A front turn signal or "parking" light bulb, turn the power connector a quarter turn counter clockwise and lift it straight out of the headlight assembly.

Remove the bulb from the power connector's socket by pulling it straight out. If it is difficult to remove, try wiggling it a bit.

Once you replaced the headlight bulb and/or signal light bulb, replace the headlight housing and tighten down the three flat head screws.

Test the new light bulb(s) by turning on the headlights and hazard signals.
