A few weeks ago I helped a friend install a cheap security system at a small plaza. We used the cheapest “Made In China” generic cameras and an $8 PCI DVR capture card for an old PC computer. The quality of the video feeds and the features of the DVR software left a lot to be desired. We upgraded the system with four Sony color IR CCD sensor CCTV cameras and an EverFocus EDSR400H stand alone digital video recorder unit. This past Saturday we went on our first formal tour of the city of Miami. I’ve lived in the South Florida area for years and have visited Miami a few times, but now I finally feel like I really know the city. Last night we attended the 5th annual Taste of the Palm Beaches held at PGA Commons in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. It was a feast of fine food and drinks from dozens of local area restaurants.
