The Gumbo
Limbo Nature Center was founded in 1984 with the goal being to educate
the community about the delicate marine and coastal environments of
South Florida. This popular Palm Beach County attraction is located at 1801 N. Ocean Blvd; Boca Raton, FL 33432. The staff can be reached by phone at (561) 338-1473. Some of the features of the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center include a wooden boardwalk that winds through a coastal hammock environment, an observation tower, salt water tanks, a classroom, a Chiki hut, a sea turtle statue garden, a gift shop and a butterfly garden. Two of the most exciting programs that the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center offers to the public are the Turtle Walks (May-July) and the Hatchling Release (July-August). |
