This automotive how-to guide was specifically written to assist owners of the ninth generation (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008) Toyota Corolla in replacing a burnt out fog light bulb.

Owners of other Toyota vehicles such as the Camry, Prius, Matrix, Venza, Yaris, and Avalon with similar fog light bulb replacement procedures may also find this guide to be useful.

Replacement fog light bulbs for the '03-'08 Toyota Corolla from Sylvania and other manufacturers are part # 9006.

If you plan on keeping your car for a long time, I'd recommend the buying the long life bulbs with "LL" in the part number.

Or you could some brighter and even longer lasting 9006 LED bulbs.

No tools are necessary to remove the old fog light bulb and replace it with a new one.

The fog light bulb's socket is located on the rear side of the lower front bumper.

Rotate the base of the old bulb 1/4 turn counterclockwise before pulling it straight out of the socket.

Gently pull back the black plastic retaining clips on the electrical connector before pulling it straight off the old bulb.

Try to avoid touching the glass part of the new halogen bulb with your fingers or anything greasy in the engine bay.

If you do get the new bulb dirty, wipe it clean with a paper towel moistened with rubbing alcohol.
