This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the second generation (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 &
2014) Nissan Murano SUV in changing a burnt out courtesy step light
bulb located in the housing at the bottom of the plastic interior
door panel. Owners of other Nissan or Infiniti vehicles such as the Versa, Maxima, Juke, Rogue, Altima, Xterra, Pathfinder, Sentra, Cube, Armada, Leaf, Quest, Frontier, Teana, 370Z, GT-R, Titan, G25, G37, M35, QX56, QX60 and M37 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The OEM bulb is a Toshiba # 161. You may also use any other miniature wedge base bulbs such as the number 158, 168, W5W, 2825, 194 or a compatible LED unit. The only tool needed to replace the bulb is a small flathead screwdriver used to pry off the translucent plastic lens cover. |

Insert the blade of
the small flathead screwdriver in between the lens cover and the interior
door panel. Gently pry out the lens cover. You may need to re-insert the screwdriver in to the other edge. Try to avoid using excessive force. The lens cover should pop out relatively easily. Set the lens cover aside in a safe place. |
