We made a
stop at Robbie's Marina on our way to Key West just to watch people
feed the huge Tarpon fish from the pier. It costs $1 per person to just to walk out on the pier and check out the tarpon or $2 to feed them a small bucket of bait fish. There were plenty of people already crouched over feeding the tarpon so we opted to just watch. Robbie's Marina is located at 77522 Overseas Hwy., Islamorada, FL (Mile Marker 77.5). They're open for business from 8 AM to 6 PM every day. Some of the other features at Robbie's Marina are the fishing tours, boat rentals, the Hungry Tarpon Restaurant, snorkeling trips, State Island tours, eco tours, sunset tours, a gift shop, a full service boatyard, kayak rentals, jet ski rentals, fishing gear and plenty of bait. |
