2014-2019 Toyota Highlander Driver’s Power Seat Controls Broken Plastic Switch Panel Replacement Guide

A special thanks goes out to Jon S. for these pictures and instructions.

“We noticed recently that the “Seat Switch Panel (Front)” was broken. I ordered a new one from my friend at Toyota, and tried to take some photos to share. Overall, it wasn’t difficult, took about 15 minutes.

I popped the sliding switch controls off the front, unclipped the wiring, and that allowed me to lay the panel flatter and unscrew the controls. I squeezed the leftover teal clip and removed it from the seat. I unplugged the lumbar control and that allowed me to remove the switch itself from the panel by sliding my screwdriver blade between the panel and the switch on the left and right sides, towards the bottom.

I then transferred the controls to the new panel, clipped the wires back into place, and coerced the new panel to hook over the bracket on the top edge of the seat. I made sure the teal clip was aligned and pushed it in, and also pushed the front edge clips into place.”
