| The
majority of our time in New Zealand was spent living in a vacation
rental home in Motuoapa close to the shore of Lake Taupo and about
45 minutes away from the town of Taupo. These two photo gallery pages are a collection of the pictures I took during our many trips to Taupo for groceries, supplies, dining, sightseeing and events. Some of the places shown include the Taupo Scenic Lookout, the Taupo Rose Garden, the Taupo Marina, the Scenic Cellars wine store, the Plateau Restaurant, the Honey Hive and finally the Taupo Airport. Taupo is situated in the center of the North Island about 280 km or 3.5 hours from the city of Auckland. We found Taupo to be a excellent location for exploring the North Island of New Zealand. We also enjoyed the recreational opportunities such as kayaking, hiking and fishing. |
