Our
morning routine during the three nights we stayed at the Coral
Towers included walking through the underwater acrylic tunnel that
passes beneath the Predator Lagoon to admire the graceful sharks. The 800,000 gallons Predator Lagoon was completed in 1998 and features a variety of marine animals including several species of sharks. Just a few of the creatures in this massive aquarium include great hammerhead sharks, smalltooth sawfish, blacknose shark, Caribbean reef sharks, silky sharks, nurse sharks, barracudas, manta rays and giant grouper. Although the Predator Tunnel is amazing lit up by the morning sunshine, I'd also recommend walking through at night for a more ominous yet thrilling experience. |
