This
automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners
of the 1st generation (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, & 2013) Nissan
Rogue in changing a burnt out overhead map light bulb or upgrading
them both to brighter LED units. Owners of other Nissan or Infiniti vehicles such as the Versa, Cube, Sentra, Altima, LEAF, Maxima, Juke, Murano, Xterra, Pathfinder, Armada, Quest, Frontier, Titan, 370Z, G37, M37, EX37, FX37, JX35, and QX56 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. A replacement dome light bulb is part # DE3175 from manufacturers such as Sylvania, GE, Eiko, Putco, and PIAA. You can also use a brighter DE3175 LED bulb. The only tool needed to change the bulb is a small flathead screwdriver used to pry out the translucent plastic lens cover. |

Old Bulb Removed |
Insert the blade of
the flathead screwdriver in between the edge of the lens cover and the light
housing.
I was able to pry out the lens cover by prying at the right (passenger side) edge. After removing the cover, it looked like it would have been easier to pry it off at the left (driver side) edge near the On/Off/Door switch. Set the lens cover aside in a safe place. Press the metal release tab on the left (driver side) of the dome bulb socket and pull out the old bulb. |

Insert New DE3175 Bulb |
Flip Switch To "On" |
Insert the right
(passenger) side of the new DE3175
bulb in first and then pop in the left
side. If you are installing an LED bulb and it doesn't work at first, try flipping it around in the socket. Slide the switch over to the "On" position to test the new bulb. |

Testing New Light Bulb |
Line up the dome
light lens cover and gently snap it back in to place.
Slide the switch to the "Door" position so that the light will turn on whenever a passenger door is opened. For more,
