This automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners of the second generation (2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013) Mazda Mazda3 in troubleshooting an electrical problem by checking or changing a blown fuse.

Owners of other Mazda vehicles such as the Mazda2, Mazda5, Mazda6, MX-5 Miata, Mazdaspeed3, CX-5, CX-7, CX-9, MPV, Tribute, RX-8, Axela, Demio, Verisa, Premacy, and Atenza may also find this DIY tutorial to be helpful.

Replacement wiper blade sizes for the 2011-2013 Mazda3 are as follows: Driver 24" and Passenger 19".

The 2010 Mazda3 also uses a 24 inch driver side blade but a smaller 18" passenger side blade.

All of the 2nd generation Mazda3 hatchbacks (2010-2013) use a 14" rear window wiper blade. (Part number Trico 14-A.)

A few compatible replacement wiper blades (for the '11 to '13 model years) with their part numbers include the following: Bosch 24A & Bosch 19B, Michelin 8524 & Michelin 8519, Rain-X 5079280-1 & Rain-X 5079276-1 and Anco 31-24 & Anco 31-19.

No tools are needed to replace the windshield wiper blades.

Old Wiper Blade Removed
The first step is to raise the wiper arm up until it rests almost perpendicular to the windshield.

Then place a towel on the windshield to protect it just in case the metal wiper arm slaps down on to the glass while you are replacing the blade.

Rotate the wiper blade away from the metal wiper arm and locate the small black plastic release tab..

Press the release tab down towards the metal wiper arm.

Slide the old wiper blade down off the metal hook at the end of the wiper arm.

Rotate Bracket Out
I recommend buying the Bosch 24A and Bosch 19B wiper blades since they have excellent reviews on Amazon.

Push the mounting bracket at the center of the new wiper blade out at an angle.

Line up the metal hook at the end of the wiper arm with the rounded edge of the bracket in the new wiper blade.

Slide the bracket up in to the metal hook on the wiper arm until it clicks in to place.

Lower Arm To Windshield
Double check that the new wiper blade is securely fastened to the wiper arm.

Rotate the new wiper blade parallel with the metal wiper arm.

Gently lower the wiper arm down to the windshield.

For the best wiper performance, thoroughly clean off the windshield and apply a window treatment product such as Rain-X.
