La Playa,
formerly known as Bootlegger's, is a popular place to eat, drink and
relax on hot South Florida weekends during the summer months. Most of the guests tend to find a place to sit around the pool either at the high top tables, near the outside bar, on the loungers, or on the edge of the pool with their feet in the water. If you're going to La Playa for lunch or dinner, I'd recommend sitting in the calmer indoor section or over at the attached Shooters restaurant. You'll find La Playa Waterfront Restaurant alongside the Intracoastal Waterway at 3003 NE 32nd Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308. To reach the staff by phone, call (954) 527-5292. La Playa is open from 12 noon to 2 am every weekend of the summer through October. |

highlights of our lunch at La Playa was seeing all of the exotic sports
cars, classic muscle cars, and custom motorcycles parked out front.
La Playa also hosts a "hot body" bikini contest held every Sunday afternoon. |
