This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the 1st generation (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013) Kia
Soul in changing the rear windshield window wiper blade. Owners of other Kia and Hyundai SUV, minivan or hatchback vehicles with similar rear window wipers such as the Forte5, Rio, Sedona, Sorento, Sportage, Elantra GT, Accent, Veloster, Tucson, and Santa Fe may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. Two compatible replacement size 11" (inches) rear wiper blades with their part numbers are as follows: Trico 11-A, Michelin 9511 and Anco AR-11A. No tools are needed to replace the rear wiper blade. For optimum results, I'd recommend thoroughly cleaning off the glass and using a window treatment product that will repel water such as Rain-X. |

Lift Wiper Arm Off Window |
The first step is
to gently pull off the black plastic "C" shaped cover on the base of the
wiper arm. Set the cap aside in a safe place. Lift the wiper arm off the rear window until it stays in the raised position by itself. |

Rotate Old Blade At Angle |
Pop Old Blade Off Arm |
Mounting Bar & "C" Socket |
Rotate the old
wiper blade away from the wiper arm at a slight angle. Gently pop the mounting bar at the center of the old blade out of the "C" shaped socket at the end of the wiper arm. |

Line Up Bar & Socket |
I recommend buying
the Trico 11-A rear wiper blade
since it has excellent reviews on Amazon. Line up the mounting bar at the center of the new 11" size wiper blade with the "C" shaped socket at the end of the wiper arm. Firmly push the mounting bar in to the socket. |
||
Pop New Blade On Arm |
Rotate Blade Parallel |
Lower Arm On Window |
Rotate the new
blade until it is parallel with the wiper arm. Lower the wiper arm back on to the rear window. |

Line Up Plastic Cover |
Pop Cover On Base of Arm |
Wiper Blade Replaced |
Line up the plastic
cover and gently push it back in to place over the base of the wiper arm. For the best results, thoroughly clean the rear window and apply a product such as Rain-X. For more, check out my other
