A replacement festoon or "fuse" style bulb is part number 578 which is available from various manufacturers such as Sylvania, GE, PIAA and Eiko.

You can also use a brighter 578 LED bulb.

The only tool needed to access and replace the bulb is a small flathead screwdriver used to pry open the hinged lens cover.

To avoid scratching the plastic surfaces, you may want to cover the tip of your screwdriver with a thin micro fiber cloth.

Insert the blade of the flathead screwdriver in to the small notch on the left (driver) side of the dome light bulb lens cover.

Gently pry open the hinged lens cover and swing it open to the right (passenger) side.

If the old dome light bulb was recently turned on, be careful when you remove it. It might still be hot enough to burn your fingers.

Grasp the old bulb with your thumb and forefinger before pulling straight out of the socket.
