This
automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners
of the 2nd generation (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013)
Chevrolet Silverado 1500 in replacing a burnt out overhead map light bulb. Owners of other General Motors vehicles such as the GMC Sierra, Terrain, Acadia, Yukon, Savana, Chevy Colorado, Avalanche, Express, Equinox, Traverse, Tahoe, Suburban, Spark, Sonic, Cruze, Volt, Malibu, Impala, SS, Camaro, Corvette, Verano, Regal, LaCrosse, Encore, and Enclave may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. A replacement bulb is part number 212-2 from manufacturers such as Sylvania, GE and Eiko. If you would like to have brighter map lights, install some compatible 212-2 LED bulbs. The only tool needed to access the map light bulbs is a small flathead screwdriver used to pry out the lens cover. |
