Camaro Headlight Bulbs Replacement Guide
How to change the low beam, high beam &
front turn signal light bulbs in a 5th generation 2010-2015 GM Chevy Camaro.

This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the fifth generation (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015)
GM Chevrolet Camaro in changing a burnt out low beam, high beam or
front turn signal light bulb in the headlight assemblies. Owners of other General Motors vehicles such as the Spark, Cruze, Malibu, Sonic, Impala, Traverse, Tahoe, Trax, SS, GMC Terrain, Acadia, Yukon, Buick Verano, Regal, LaCrosse, Encore, Enclave and the Holden Barina may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. Replacement bulbs for the 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013 Camaro models are as follows: Dual Low & High Beam Headlight # H13, and Front Turn Signal # 3457A. Replacement bulbs for the 2014 & 2015 Camaro with their part numbers are as follows: Low Beam # H11, High Beam # H9 and Front Turn Signal # 7444NA (or 7444A). No tools are needed to replace the bulbs on the passenger side. To change the bulbs on the driver side, you will need a flathead screwdriver to disconnect the air box cover. |

If you are going to
replace a bulb on the passenger side, please skip down past the engine air
filter box removal steps. To change any of the bulbs in the driver side headlight assembly, you'll need to remove the top cover of the engine air filter box and pull out the plastic air intake tube. Gently pull back the two release tabs on air box to release the top cover. Then slide back the red plastic locking tab on the air intake temperature sensor's electrical connector. |

Press the release
tab on the electrical connector before pulling it straight off. Loosen the screw on the air intake hose clamp by turning it counterclockwise a few turns. Pull the top half of the air box off and set it aside in a safe place. |

Pull the engine air
filter out of the bottom half of the box. Carefully disconnect the plastic air intake tube from the bottom half of the air box. |

Remove the plastic
air intake tube from the engine bay. Now you can easily access the low beam, high beam and front turn signal light bulbs. |

The Low Beam
headlight bulb is located at the outer edge of the headlight housing. Reach in behind the headlight assembly and rotate the round black plastic dust cover 1/4 turn counterclockwise to remove it. Set the dust cap aside in a safe place. |

Press the release tab on the electrical connector and slide it straight off the base of the old low beam bulb. | ||

Rotate the base of the old low beam bulb 1/4 turn counterclockwise before pulling it straight out of the socket. | ||

Try to avoid
touching the glass part of the new halogen bulb with your fingers or
anything greasy in the engine bay. If you do get the new bulb dirty, wipe it off with a paper towel moistened with rubbing alcohol. Insert a new # H11 low beam bulb in to the socket and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to secure it in place. (The 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013 Camaro models use a single Low & High Beam # H13 headlight bulb.) |

Push on the
electrical connector straight on to the base of the new bulb until it clicks
securely in to place. Twist on the black plastic dust cap 1/4 turn in the clockwise direction. The High Beam bulb is located near the center of the headlight housing. |

Rotate the black
plastic dust cover 1/4 turn counterclockwise to remove it. Press the release tab on the electrical connector and slide it straight off the base of the old high beam bulb. Rotate the old bulb 1/4 turn counterclockwise before pulling it straight out of the socket. |

Try to avoid

The orange plastic
Turn Signal light bulb socket is located at the inner edge of the
headlight housing. Rotate the base of the socket 1/4 turn counterclockwise before pulling it straight out of the assembly. |

Pull the old turn
signal bulb straight out of the socket and push in a new amber colored #
7444NA or 7444A bulb. (The 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013 Camaro models use a 3457A turn signal light bulb.) Re-insert the turn signal light bulb socket in to the housing and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to lock it in place. |

Re-install the
plastic air intake tube in to the engine bay. Re-insert the engine air filter. |

Lower the top half
of the engine air box back in to place. Push the air intake temperature connector straight in to the socket. Slide the red locking tab forward to secure it in place. |

Push down the top
half of the air box to secure the two retaining clips. Test the new bulbs by turning on the headlights, activating the hazard signals and flashing the high beams. For more,
