This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the updated fifth generation (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014) Ford Mustang in changing a burnt out front side marker light bulb.

Owners of the earlier 5th generation Mustang from 2005 to 2009 and possibly the 4th generation 1994 to 2004 models with similar front side marker light bulb housings may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

A replacement bulb for the 2010 to 2014 Mustang models is part number 194 from manufacturers such as Sylvania, GE, Philips, Eiko and PIAA.

If you would like to have brighter side marker lights, choose some compatible 194 LED bulbs.

The 2005 to 2009 Mustangs use part number 2825 for the front side marker.

The tools needed to replace the bulbs include a 7mm socket, and a 1/4" drive ratchet.

Pull Down Plastic Panel
Move to the front corner of the vehicle with the burnt out side marker bulb.

Look under the car and locate the two screws that hold the corner of the black plastic under bumper cover in place.

Remove the screws by turning them counter clockwise with the 7mm socket and ratcheting wrench.

Gently pull down the plastic panel to access the bulb housing.
