This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the sixth generation (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and possibly also the 2016 model year) Ford Fiesta sedan or hatchback in changing the front windshield window wiper blades.

Owners of other Ford or Lincoln vehicles such as the Focus, Fusion, C-Max, Mustang, Escape, Transit Connect, Edge, Flex, Explorer, Expedition, Taurus, F-150, EcoSport, MKC, MKZ, MKS, MKX, MKT and the Navigator may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

The OEM wiper blades are the following sizes in inches: Driver Side 24" and Passenger Side 15" (some 16" blades are also compatible).

A few aftermarket replacement blades with their part numbers are as follows: Bosch 24A & Bosch 15A, Michelin 8524 & Michelin 8516, Trico 25-240 & Trico 25-160, Anco C-24-OE & Anco C-15-OE, PIAA 97060 & PIAA 97040 and Motorcraft WW-2430 & Motorcraft WW-1613.

Plastic Mounting Bracket
Lift the wiper arm off the windshield until it remains in the raised position by itself.

Use a small flathead screwdriver to gently push in the release tab before pulling out the mounting bracket from the sleeve at the end of the metal wiper arm.

Line Up New Wiper Blade
Place a towel down on the windshield to protect the glass from being shattered, cracked, chipped or scratched just in case the wiper arm smacks down on to the window.

I always buy the Bosch 24A and Bosch 15A wiper blades since they have excellent reviews on Amazon.

Line up the plastic mounting bracket on the new wiper blade with the metal sleeve at the end of the wiper arm.

Lower Wiper To Window
Slide the bracket in to the sleeve until it clicks securely in place.

Check that the new wiper blade is securely attached to the wiper arm.

Gently lower the wiper arm down to the windshield.

For the best wiper performance, I'd recommend thoroughly cleaning the windshield and applying a window treatment product such as Rain-X.
