This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the sixth generation (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014,
2015 and possibly also the 2016 model year) Ford Fiesta sedan or
hatchback in changing a burnt out low beam, high beam, front turn
signal or side marker bulb in the headlight assemblies. Owners of other Ford or Lincoln vehicles such as the Focus, Fusion, C-Max, Mustang, Escape, Transit Connect, Edge, Flex, Explorer, Expedition, Taurus, F-150, EcoSport, MKC, MKZ, MKS, MKX, MKT and the Navigator may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The replacement bulbs with their part numbers are as follows: Low Beam # H11, High Beam # H1, Front Turn Signal # 3157NAK (also 3157NA or 3157A) and Side Marker # 168. No tools are required to change the low beam, high beam or front turn signal bulbs. If you'd like to replace the side marker or you'd prefer to remove the entire headlight assembly from the vehicle, you'll need a Torx T-30 star bit screwdriver and a Phillips head screwdriver. |

Pry Off Power Plug |
There are two
methods for replacing the headlight bulbs in a Ford Fiesta. It is possible to just reach behind the assembly to access the low beam, high beam or front turn signal bulbs. This first method requires no tools but can be a bit difficult if you have large hands. The alternative method is to detach the entire headlight housing from the front of the vehicle. If you'd prefer this method, scroll down to the bottom third of this page for the headlight assembly removal instructions. Taking off the headlight assembly is also the only way to access the front side marker bulbs. The Low Beam bulb is located closer to the outer edge of the housing. Pull off the rubber dust cover and set it aside in a safe place. Gently pull back the retaining clip and slide the electrical connector straight off the base of the old bulb. |
