This automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners of the second generation 1998-2011 Ford Crown Victoria in replacing a burnt out vanity mirror light bulb.

Owner's of other Ford, Lincoln or Mercury vehicles such as the Grand Marquis, Marauder, Town Car, Edge, Flex, Focus, Taurus, Fusion, Mustang, Fiesta, Five Hundred, Escape, Explorer, Probe, Expedition, Thunderbird, Escort, F-150, F-250 and F-350 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

A replacement vanity mirror light bulb for the Ford Crown Victoria is part number TS-14V1.5CP. Other compatible "festoon" or "fuse" type 29mm x 6mm light bulbs include the TS-14V1CP, # 6614F or the ACDelco 13502343.

The only tool needed to replace the vanity mirror bulb is a small flathead screwdriver.

Wear safety glasses if you have them.

The first step is to flip open the vanity mirror cover. Then locate the notch in the middle of the outer edge of the vanity mirror light with the burnt out bulb.

Insert the blade of the screwdriver into the notch and gently pry out the translucent lens cover.

Pull out the old light bulb with your fingers or very carefully pry out the metal end of the bulb with the flathead screwdriver.

Do not pry on the glass part of the bulb to prevent it from shattering and possibly causing eye injury.

The OEM vanity mirror light bulb is part # TS-14V1.5CP. It can also be replaced with any festoon or fuse style bulb that is 29mm x 6mm.

Alternate compatible bulb part numbers include the TS-14V1CP (1 watt), the # 6614F or the Eiko 40842 - 6614F.

The owner's manual lists the "Visor Vanity Lamp" as bulb # A6224PF.

If you'd like to use a brighter LED bulb, purchase part # F30-WHP.

Push the new bulb into the vanity mirror light socket. Avoid touching both of the metal contacts unless you disconnected the vehicle's battery.
