Dodge Journey SUV in changing the front windshield window wiper
blades. Owners of other Chrysler, Dodge and RAM vehicles such as the Town & Country, 300, 200, Avenger, Challenger, Charger, Dart, Durango, Grand Caravan, RAM 1500 and Ram C/V Tradesman may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. A few compatible replacement wiper blades with their part numbers are as follows: Bosch 24A & Bosch 19B, Rain-X 5079280-1, Rain-X 5079276-1, Valeo 900241B & Valeo 900191B, Trico 25-240 & Trico 25-190, Michelin 8024 & Michelin 8019 and Anco 31-24 & Anco 31-19. Slide Blade Off Wiper Arm |
Lift Wiper Blade Off Arm |
The first step is
to raise the wiper arm off the windshield until it stays in the up position
by itself. Then rotate the wiper blade away from the wiper arm at a slight angle. Push in the black plastic release tab at the center of the wiper blade towards the wiper arm to release the mounting bracket. Slide the wiper blade mounting bracket down and off the hook at the end of the wiper arm. Then pull the old wiper blade up and off the wiper arm. |

Pull Bracket Up In To Hook |
Place a towel on
the windshield to protect the glass from shattering or cracking just in case
the wiper arm smacks down on it while you are changing the wiper blade. I recommend buying the Bosch 24A and Bosch 19B wiper blades since they have excellent reviews on Amazon. Lower the new wiper blade down on the wiper arm. Pass the hook at the end of the wiper arm though the hole in the center of the blade. Then slide the mounting bracket at the center of the wiper blade in to the hook at the end of the wiper arm. |

Rotate Blade Parallel To Arm |

Lower Wiper Arm To Window |
Continue pulling up
on the new wiper blade until the mounting bracket snaps securely in to the
hook at the end of the wiper arm. Rotate the new wiper blade parallel to the wiper arm and lower it down to the windshield. For best wiper blade performance, you should thoroughly clean off the windshield and apply a glass treatment product such as Rain-X.
