We always buy a few bananas at the Publix supermarket during our weekly visit at a price of about $0.70 per pound. This 5 pound bag of
Del Monte Quality bananas was only $1.69 for the entire bag. That works out to about $0.34 per pound so the Costco price was about half
as much as at Publix. We had to eat a lot more bananas than usual that week to make sure that they didn't go bad, but the low price was
too good to pass up.
