Pacifica Windshield Wiper Blades Replacement Guide
How to change the windshield window wiper
blades on a 2017, 2018 or 2019 Chrysler Pacifica with the part numbers.
2017 Pacifica Windshield Wipers |
Raise Wiper Arm Off Windshield |
This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the first generation (2017, 2018, 2019 and probably also the 2020 and 2021 model years) Chrysler Pacifica minivan in changing the front windshield window wiper blades. Owners of other FCA (Fiat Chrysler America) vehicles from Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM or Fiat such as the Town & Country, 300, 200, Charger, Challenger, Durango, Journey, Grand Caravan, Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Compass, Renegade, Patriot, RAM 1500, RAM ProMaster City, Fiat 500 and Fiat 124 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The OEM wiper blade sizes in inches are as follows: Driver Side 26" and Passenger Side 20". A few compatible replacement wiper blades with their part numbers are as follows: Rain-X 5079281-2 & Rain-X 5079277-2, Trico 25-260 & Trico 25-200, Anco 31-26 & Anco 31-20 and Bosch 26CA & Bosch 20CA. The only tool needed to remove and replace the wiper blades is a small flathead screwdriver or a plastic pry bar tool. |

Pry Open Locking Tab |
Swing Up Hinged Lock Tab |
The first step is
to lift the wiper arm off the windshield until it remains in the raised
position by itself. Use a flathead screwdriver or a plastic pry bar tool to lift up the bottom edge of the lock tab in the center of the old wiper blade. Swing up the hinged locking tab from the center of the wiper blade. |
|
Slide Blade Down Off Hook |
Rotate Blade Perpendicular |
Push the wiper
blade down until it slides off the metal hook at the end of the metal wiper
arm. Rotate the old wiper blade until it is perpendicular (at a 90 degree angle) with the wiper arm. |
|
Pull Blade Off Metal Hook |
Towel - Protect Glass |
Pull the wiper
blade off the metal hook at the end of the wiper arm. Place a towel on the windshield to protect the glass from being cracked, shattered, scratched or chipped just in case the metal wiper arm smacks down on to the window. |
|
|
|
Line Up New Wiper Blade |
Pass Hook Through Blade |
Line up the new
wiper blade with the metal wiper arm. The rubber blade should be pointing out away from the windshield. Pass the metal hook at the end of the wiper arm through the opening in the center of the new blade. |
|
Rotate Blade Parallel |
Slide Blade Up & Into Hook |
Rotate the new
wiper blade until it is parallel with the wiper arm. Firmly pull the wiper blade up until it clicks securely into the metal hook at the end of the wiper arm. |
|
Snap Closed Lock Tab |
Lower Wiper To Window |
Swing down the lock
tab and pop it back into place. Gently lower the wiper blade back down to the windshield. For the best wiper performance, I highly recommend cleaning off the windshield and applying a window treatment product that will repel water from the glass such as Rain-X. Be sure to record the wiper blade change in your vehicle's service records. For more,
