This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the first generation (2017, 2018, 2019 and possibly also the 2020 and 2021 model years) Chrysler Pacifica minivan in changing the rear wiper blade on the back windshield window.

Owners of other FCA (Fiat Chrysler America) vehicles from Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM or Fiat such as the Town & Country, 300, 200, Charger, Challenger, Durango, Journey, Grand Caravan, Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Compass, Renegade, Patriot, RAM 1500, RAM ProMaster City, Fiat 500 and Fiat 124 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

The OEM rear wiper blade size in inches is 14".

A few compatible replacement rear wiper blades with their part numbers include the following: Anco AR-14A, Bosch H352 and Valeo R14H.

No tools are needed to detach the old wiper blade and install the new one.

Pop Bar Out of Socket
The first step is to gently lift up on the black plastic "C" shaped cover at the base of the wiper arm.

The cover is hinged and will swing open to the left (driver) side.

Then raise the wiper arm off the back window until it remains in the raised position by itself.

Rotate the old wiper blade away from the wiper arm at a slight angle.

Continue gently rotating the old wiper blade until you feel the mounting bar pop out of its socket at the end of the wiper arm.

Once the old wiper blade is perpendicular (at a 90 degree angle) to the wiper arm, slide it off the end of the wiper arm.

After the old wiper blade has been detached, you'll be able to see the "C" shaped socket at the end of the wiper arm and the mounting bar in the middle of the old wiper blade.

Line up the new wiper blade with the wiper arm.

I recommend buying the Anco AR-14A rear wiper blade since it has excellent reviews on Amazon.

The rubber blade should be pointing out away from the rear of the minivan.

Rotate Blade Parallel
Insert the mounting bar in the center of the new wiper blade into the socket at the end of the wiper arm.

Rotate the new wiper blade until it is parallel with the wiper arm.

Double check that the new wiper blade is securely attached to the wiper arm.

Gently lower the wiper arm and blade back down to the back window.

Swing the hinged base cap over the mounting nut and bolt.

Push on the base cap until it clicks securely into place.

For the best wiper performance, I recommend thoroughly cleaning off the back windshield and applying a window treatment product that will repel water from the glass such as Rain-X.

Be sure to record the wiper blade change in your vehicle's service records.
