This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the third generation (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020) Kia Sorento SUV in changing the front windshield wiper blades. Owners of other Kia, Hyundai and Genesis vehicles such as the Soul, Seltos, Sportage, Niro, Telluride, Forte, Rio, Optima, Stinger, Cadenza, K900, Sedona, Kona, Venue, Santa Fe, Elantra, Sonata, Accent, Veloster, Ioniq, Nexo, G70, G80 and G90 may also find these instructions to be helpful. The OEM (original equipment manufacturer) wiper blade sizes in inches are as follows: Driver Side 26" and Passenger Side 16". A few compatible replacement wiper blades with their part numbers include the following: Bosch 26A & Bosch 16A, Aero 26" & 16", PIAA 95065 & PIAA 95040, Trico 25-260 & Trico 25-160 and Michelin 8526 & Michelin 8516. No tools are needed to remove and replace the wiper blades. The first step is to lift the wiper arm off the window until it remains in the raised position by itself. Then slightly rotate the old wiper blade away from the wiper arm. Locate the small black plastic release tab on the underside of the mounting bracket. |

Push in the small
black plastic release tab towards the metal wiper arm. Hold in the release tab while sliding the old wiper blade down and out of the metal hook at the end of the wiper arm. Rotate the old wiper blade until it is perpendicular with the wiper arm (at a 90 degree angle). Pull the old wiper blade off the end of the wiper arm. |

Place a towel on
the windshield to protect the glass from being shattered, chipped, scratched
or cracked just in case the wiper arm smacks down on to the window while you
are replacing the wiper blade. I recommend buying the Bosch 26A and Bosch 16A wiper blades since they have excellent reviews on Amazon. Line up the plastic mounting bracket in the center of the new wiper blade with the end of the wiper arm. |

Pass the metal hook
at the end of the wiper arm through the opening in the center of the new
wiper blade just above the mounting bracket. Rotate the new wiper blade until it is almost parallel with the wiper arm. Slide the plastic mounting bracket up into the metal hook at the end of the wiper. |

You should feel or
hear the mounting bracket "click" securely into the hook at the end of the
wiper arm. Double check that the new wiper blade is securely attached to the wiper arm before continuing with the next steps. Gently lower the wiper assembly down to the windshield. For the best wiper performance, I recommend thoroughly cleaning off the windshield and applying a window treatment product such as Rain-X that will help repel water away from the glass. Be sure to write down the wiper blade change in your SUV's service records. Please
