Owners of other Honda or Acura vehicles such as the Accord, Insight, Clarity, Fit, HR-V, CR-V, Pilot, Passport, Odyssey, Ridgeline, ILX, MDX, RDX, NSX, RLX and TLX may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

The compatible replacement light bulb part numbers are as follows: Low Beam # H11, High Beam # 9005 and Front Turn Signal 7440A (also known as 7440NA or WY21W).

If you would like to have brighter headlights that will also last a lot longer before burning out, install some H11 LED, 9005 LED and 7440A LED bulbs.

Attention: Please check your owner's manual and the part numbers on your old light bulbs before you buy new ones. The correct part number might vary depending on the model year, trim level, body style and your region of the world.

No tools are needed to replace any of the bulbs in either the driver side or passenger side headlight housings.

The first two steps are to open the hood and then move to the side of the car with the burnt out bulb.

The low beam light resembles a "cloudy eye" and is situated near the outer middle area of the assembly.

Push in the release tab (or "button") on the power plug before sliding it straight off the base of the old bulb.

Rotate the old bulb 1/4 turn in the counterclockwise direction before pulling it straight out of the housing.

Avoid touching the glass part of the new halogen bulb with your fingers or anything greasy in the engine bay. If you do get the new bulb dirty, wipe it clean with a paper towel and some rubbing alcohol.

Insert the new H11 low beam bulb into the housing and rotate it 1/4 turn in the clockwise direction to secure it into place.

If you would like to have brighter low beams, install some compatible replacement H11 LED bulbs.

You should hear or feel the power plug "click" securely into place.

The high beam light bulb is located closer to the inner edge of the housing.

Push in the release tab before sliding the connector straight off the base of the old light bulb.

Rotate the old bulb 1/4 turn in the counterclockwise direction before pulling it straight out of the housing.

Try to avoid touching the glass part of the new halogen bulb with your fingers or anything greasy or oily in the engine bay.

If you do get the new bulb dirty, wipe it clean with a paper towel and some rubbing alcohol.

If you would like to have brighter high beams, install some compatible replacement 9005 LED bulbs.

Install the new bulb into the opening in the back of the housing and rotate it 1/4 turn in the clockwise direction to secure it into place.

Push the blue plastic power plug straight on to the base of the new bulb.

You should feel or hear the connector "click" securely into place.

Rotate the grey plastic bulb socket 1/4 turn in the counterclockwise direction before pulling it straight out of the housing.

If you have trouble pulling the old light bulb out of the socket, try gently wiggling it back and forth while pulling it straight out.

Try to avoid using excessive pressure on the old bulb to prevent from having it break and cut your fingers.

Push the new amber colored 7440A light bulb straight into the socket.

For brighter front turn signals, install some 7440A LED bulbs.

Re-insert the bulb socket into the housing and rotate it 1/4 turn in the clockwise direction to secure it into place.

If you installed an LED bulb and it isn't working, try removing it from the socket, rotating it 180 degrees and push it back into the socket. Some LED bulbs are polarized and will only work when the "+" positive and "-" negative electrical contacts are in the correct orientation.

If you need to aim your headlights, locate the adjustment screw accessible from near the top of the headlight housing close to the middle of the assembly. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to turn the adjustment screw. Park your car near a brick wall or a garage door with horizontal lines on it to help you adjust the headlight level.

Be sure to record the bulb change in your car's service records.
