This automotive
maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the second
generation 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 GM Chevrolet Cruze in changing the
front windshield window wiper blades. Owners of other General Motors vehicles from Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac and Holden such as the Sonic, Spark, Malibu, Impala, Volt, Bolt, Camaro, Corvette, Trax, Equinox, Blazer, Suburban, Tahoe, Traverse, Colorado, Silverado, Express, TrailBlazer, Encore, Regal TourX, Envision, Enclave, LaCrosse, Cascada, Sierra, Canyon, Acadia, Terrain, Yukon, Savana, XT4, XT5, XT6, Escalade, CT5, CTS-V, XTS, CT6, ATS, Astra and Commodore may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The OEM wiper blade sizes in inches are as follows: Driver Side 28" and Passenger Side 24". A few compatible replacement wiper blades with their part numbers include the following: Bosch 28CA & Bosch 24CA, Trico 19-280 & Trico 19-240, PIAA 97070 & PIAA 97060, Michelin 14528 & Michelin 14524 and Anco C-28-OE & Anco C-24-OE. The only tool needed to remove and replace the wiper blades is a plastic pry bar tool or a flat head screwdriver. The first step is to lift the wiper arm off the windshield until it remains in the raised position by itself. |

Wiper Arm - Blade Mount |
Push In Release Button |
Slide Blade Out of Bracket |
Place a towel on
the windshield to protect the window from being scratched, chipped,
shattered or cracked just in case the wiper arm smacks down on to the glass
while you are replacing the wiper blade. Locate the square release button on the black plastic wiper arm mounting bracket. Firmly push in the release button with the plastic pry bar tool. Slide the old wiper blade straight out of the bracket on the end of the wiper arm. |

Towel - Protect Glass |
Line Up New Wiper Blade |
Mounting Bracket |
I recommend buying
the Bosch 28CA and
Bosch 24CA wiper blades since they
have excellent reviews on Amazon. Line up the plastic mount on the new wiper blade with the metal bracket at the end of the wiper arm. |

Slide Mount Into Bracket |
Snap Blade Into Bracket |
Lower Blade To Window |
Slide the mount
straight into the bracket. You should hear or feel the mount "click" securely into the bracket. Gently lower the wiper blade and arm back down towards the windshield. For the best wiper performance, I recommend thoroughly cleaning off the window and applying a glass treatment product that will repel water such as Rain-X. Be sure to write down the wiper blade change in your car's service records. For more,
