This automotive
maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the 2nd
generation (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 model years) Kia Soul in
changing a burnt out low beam, high beam, front turn signal or side marker
light bulb in the headlight housings. Owners of other Kia, Hyundai or Genesis vehicles such as the Niro, Sportage, Sedona, Telluride, Sorento, Rio, Forte, Optima, K900, Cadenza, Stinger, Tucson, Santa Fe, Kona, Palisade, Elantra, Sonata, Accent, Veloster, Ioniq, Nexo, Venue, G70, G80 and G90 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The compatible replacement light bulbs with their part numbers are as follows: Low & High Beam # H13 (combination dual filament), Front Turn Signal # 2357NA or 2357A and Front Side Marker # 2825 (or W5W). Please check your owner's manual and the old light bulbs before purchasing new ones. The higher trim level Soul models may be equipped with HID (high intensity discharge) headlight bulbs which are part number D3S. Be very careful if you plan on replacing HID bulbs since they have ballasts that can produce very high voltage! Some earlier model year Soul models are equipped with separate low beam and high beam light bulbs which are both part number H7. No tools are needed to access and replace any of the headlight bulbs in the driver side or passenger side headlight assemblies. |

Dust Cover Removed |
The first two steps
are to open the hood and then move to the side of the car with the burnt out

Push in the release tab on the rear edge and other other tab on the front edge of the engine bay fuse box cover. Pull off the cover and set it aside in a safe place. Rotate the round black plastic dust cap on the back side of the low / high beam bulb housing 1/4 turn in the counterclockwise direction before pulling it straight out.
