automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the eleventh generation (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018)
Toyota Corolla in changing a burnt out Owners of other Toyota, Lexus or Scion vehicles such as the Yaris, Matrix, Prius, Camry, RAV4, Sienna, Tacoma, Tundra, FJ Cruiser, Venza, Highlander, Avalon, Sequoia, Land Cruiser, IS 250, ES 350, GS 350, tC, xB, xD, iQ and FR-S may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The replacement trunk light bulb part number is 194 which is available from various manufacturers such as Sylvania, GE, PIAA and Eiko. You may also use any other miniature wedge base bulbs such as the # 168, 158, W5W, 2825 or a compatible LED unit. No tools are needed to access and replace the light bulb. |

The first step is
to open the trunk. Then locate the grey plastic cage that covers the cargo area light bulb. Gently pull back the tab on the left (driver) side to release the cover and swing it open. If the old bulb was recently illuminated, be careful since it might still be hot enough to burn your fingers. Pull the old bulb straight out of the socket. If you have trouble removing the old bulb, try putting on a latex rubber glove to get a better grip on the bulb. |

Push a new number
194 light bulb straight in to the socket. If necessary, you may also be able to use any other miniature wedge base bulbs such as the # 158, 168, W5W, 2825 or a compatible LED unit. |

Test New Trunk Light Bulb |
Swing the plastic
cage closed over the new light bulb. If the new trunk light bulb didn't turn on immediately when you pushed it in to the socket, try opening and closing the trunk or press "Unlock" button on the key fob to activate all the interior lights. For more, check out my other
