This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the second generation (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and perhaps also the updated 2017) Ford Fusion sedan in changing a burnt out license plate light bulb in the trunk lid.

Owners of other Ford or Lincoln vehicles such as the Focus, Fiesta, C-Max, Mustang, Escape, Transit Connect, Edge, Flex, Explorer, Expedition, Taurus, F-150, EcoSport, MKC, MKZ, MKS, MKX, MKT and the Navigator may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

The replacement bulbs are part number 2825.

You may also use any other miniature wedge base bulbs such as the # 168, W5W, 158, 194 or a compatible LED unit.

The only tool needed to access and replace the bulbs is a small flathead screwdriver used to release the light housings.
