Low & High Beam Bulb
This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the second generation 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Nissan Versa sedan in changing a burnt out dual filament combination low beam and high beam headlight bulb, front turn signal light bulb or the front side marker light bulb.

Owners of other Nissan vehicle such as the Sentra, Altima, Maxima, Murano, Rogue,  Note, Leaf, Juke, Kicks, Latio, Almera, Sunny, Qashqai, NV200, Pathfinder, Frontier and X-Trail may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

The compatible replacement light bulb part numbers are as follows: Low / High Beam # 9003 (HB2 H4), Front Turn Signal # 3457A (also known as 3457NA or 3457AK) and Front Side Marker # 2825 (also known as W5W).

If you would like to have brighter headlight bulbs that will also last much longer before burning out compared to the traditional halogen and incandescent light bulbs, install some 9003 LED, 3457A LED and 2825 LED bulbs.

Note - The earlier 2012 and 2013 Nissan Versa model years were equipped with bayonet style front turn signal light bulbs which are part number 7507 (also known PY21W).

Please check your old light bulbs before buying new ones. The correct light bulb part numbers might vary depending on the model year, trim level and where your vehicle was manufactured.

The first two steps are to open the hood and move to the side of the vehicle with the burnt out light bulb.

The headlight is a dual filament bulb that acts as both the low beam and high beam lights.

Install New Headlight Bulb
Avoid touching the glass part of the new halogen bulb with your fingers or anything greasy in the engine bay.

If you do get the new bulb dirty, clean it off with a paper towel and some rubbing alcohol.

Any grease or dirt left on the glass surface of the new bulb could lead to a hot spot which may reduce the life span of the bulb and cause it to burn out prematurely.

Orientate the three metal tabs on the new bulb in the correct position.

Insert the new 9003 bulb into the opening in the rear of the headlight assembly.

If you would like to have bright headlights, install a compatible replacement 9003 LED bulb.

If you have a 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Versa, the compatible replacement light bulb should be the 3457AK (also known as 3457A or 3457NA).

Then to install a new bayonet style bulb, push it down into the socket and rotate it 1/4 turn in the clockwise direction to secure it into place.

Push a new wedge base 3457AK light bulb down into the socket.

Re-insert the bulb socket into the housing and rotate it 1/4 turn in the clockwise direction to secure it into place.

To test the new light bulbs, turn on the parking lights, turn on the headlights, flash the high beams and activate the hazard signals.

Tip - If you installed an LED bulb and it doesn't work, try removing it from the socket, rotate it 180 degrees and push it back into the socket. Some brands of LED bulbs are "polarized" and will only work when the "+" positive and "-" negative electrical contacts are in the correct orientation.

Be sure to write down the bulb change in your car's service records.
