This
automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners
of the XV50 7th generation (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016)
Toyota Camry in replacing a burnt out tail light bulb. Owners of other Toyota, Scion or Lexus vehicles such as the Yaris, Corolla, Matrix, RAV4, Prius, Tacoma, Tundra, Sienna, FJ Cruiser, Venza, Highlander, Avalon, 4Runner, Land Runner, Sequoia, IS 250, ES 350, GS 350, tC, xB, xD, iQ and FR-S may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. Replacement tail light bulbs with their part numbers are as follows: Brake # 7440, Turn Signal # 7440A or 7440NA, Rear Side Marker # 168 (W5W or 2825) and Reverse # 921. The only tool needed to replace any of the bulbs is a small flat head screwdriver or a plastic pry bar tool. |

The first two steps
are to open the trunk and move to the side of the vehicle with the burnt out
tail light bulb. Then locate the two fasteners at the rear corner of the trunk that secure the carpet liner in place. To remove the upper round black plastic fastener, first pry out the center piece with the flathead screwdriver and then remove the entire fastener. Remove the lower cargo net hook fastener by first pushing in the circular button and then pull out the entire piece. |

Once the two
fasteners have been removed, you can pull the trunk carpeting back to reveal
the three tail light bulb sockets. The brake or "stop" lamp socket is located at the bottom of the tail light, the turn signal is just above it and the small rear side marker socket is at the outer edge of the housing. |
