Toyota Camry Headlight Bulbs Replacement Guide
How to change a low beam, high
beam, turn signal or side marker bulb in an XV50 7th generation 2012-2016 Camry.

automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners
of the XV50 7th generation (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016)
Toyota Camry in replacing a burnt out low beam, high beam, turn
signal or front side marker in the headlight assemblies. Owners of other Toyota, Scion or Lexus vehicles such as the Yaris, Corolla, Matrix, RAV4, Prius, Tacoma, Tundra, Sienna, FJ Cruiser, Venza, Highlander, Avalon, 4Runner, Land Runner, Sequoia, IS 250, ES 350, GS 350, tC, xB, xD, iQ and FR-S may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. Replacement headlight bulbs with their part numbers are as follows: Low Beam # H11, High Beam # 9005, Front Turn Signal # 7440A (also 992 or 7444NA) and Front Sidemarker # 2825 (also 168 or W5W). No tools are needed to access any of the headlight bulbs in either the driver or passenger side housings. |

The first two steps
are to pop open the hood and move to the side of the vehicle with the burnt
out headlight bulb. The Low Beam bulb is located at the center of the headlight assembly and resembles an eye. Reach behind the headlight assembly and press the release button on the power connector before sliding it straight off the base of the old low beam bulb. |

Low Beam Bulb Removed |
Rotate the base of the low beam bulb 1/4 turn counter clockwise and pull it straight out of the headlight housing. | ||

Insert New H11 Bulb |
Try to avoid
touching the glass part of the new low beam bulb with your fingers or
anything greasy in the engine bay. If you do get the new bulb dirty, wipe it clean with an alcohol moistened paper towel. Insert the new H11 bulb in to the housing and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to secure it in place. |

High Beam - Inner Corner |
Push the power
connector straight on to the base of the new low beam bulb. The High Beam bulb is located at the inner edge of the headlight housing closest to the center line of the vehicle. |

Disconnect Power Plug |
1/4 Turn Counter Clockwise |
Press the release button on the high beam bulb's power connector and slide it straight off. | ||
Remove High Beam Bulb |
Sylvania 9005 12V 60W |
High Beam Bulb Socket |
Rotate the base of the old high beam bulb 1/4 turn counter clockwise and remove it from the headlight housing. | ||
Insert New High Beam Bulb |
1/4 Turn Clockwise - Lock |
Push On Power Connector |
Insert the new
number 9005 high
beam bulb in to the socket and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to lock it in
place. Push the power plug straight on to the base of the new bulb. |

Turn Signal Light Bulb |
Turn Signal Bulb Socket |
1/4 Turn Counter Clockwise |
The Turn Signal
light bulb is located closer to the outer edge of the vehicle. Reach in behind the headlight and rotate the light grey turn signal bulb socket 1/4 turn counter clockwise before pulling it straight out. |

Side Marker - Outer Edge |
Pull Old Bulb Straight Out |
Pull the old turn
signal bulb straight out of the socket and push in a new #
7444NA or
7440A amber colored bulb. The Front Side Marker light bulb socket is located at the far outer edge of the headlight housing. Reach in and rotate the light grey side marker bulb socket 1/4 turn counter clockwise before pulling it straight out. |

Install 1/4 Turn Clockwise |
Test New Headlight Bulbs |
Testing High Beam Bulb |
Pull the old side marker light bulb straight out of the socket and push in a new # 2825 bulb. You can also use any other miniature wedge base bulbs such as the # 168, W5W or a compatible LED unit. Re-insert the front side marker bulb socket in to the headlight housing and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to secure it in place. Test the new bulbs by turning on the headlights, activating the hazard signals and flashing the high beams. For more,
