wiper blades on a 5th generation 2008-2014 Dodge Grand Caravan minivan.

This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the 5th generation or "Generation V" (2008, 2009, 2010,
2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014) Dodge Grand Caravan in changing the
front windshield window wiper blades. Owners of other Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or RAM vehicles such as the Avenger, 200, 300, Town & Country, Challenger, Charger, Dart, Durango, Journey, Patriot, Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Compass, 1500, 2500, 3500, C/V Tradesman and ProMaster may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The wiper blades sizes are as follows: Driver Side 26" and Passenger Side 20". (The Rear Wiper Blade is 16".) A few compatible replacement wiper blades with their part numbers are as follows: Bosch 26A & Bosch 20A, Trico 26-1 & 20-1, Anco 31-26 & 31-20, Valeo U-26 & U-20, and ACDelco # 8-126 & 8-120. No tools are needed to change the windshield wiper blades. |

Press In Release Tab |
Pull Bracket Down |
Remove Blade From Arm |
Lift the wiper arm
off the windshield until it stays in the raised position by itself.
Rotate the old blade away from the wiper arm at a slight angle. Press in and hold the black release tab. Slide the mounting bracket in the center of the old blade down out of the metal hook at the end of the wiper arm. |

Old Wiper Blade Removed |
Towel - Protect Glass |
Insert Metal Hook In Blade |
Pass the metal hook
through the opening in the old wiper blade. Place a towel down on the windshield to protect the glass from being chipped, shattered, cracked or scratched just in case the wiper arm smacks down on the window while you are replacing the wiper blade. I'd recommend buying the Bosch 26A and Bosch 20A wiper blades since they have excellent reviews on Amazon. Insert the metal hook at the end of the wiper arm through the opening above the mounting bracket in the new wiper blade. |
||
Slide Bracket In Hook |
Bracket Snap In Place |
Lower Arm To Window |
Slide the mounting
bracket up in to the metal hook until it clicks securely in to place. Rotate the new wiper blade until it is parallel with the wiper arm. Make sure that the new wiper blade is locked in place. Gently lower the wiper arm back down to the windshield. For optimum wiper performance, I'd recommend thoroughly cleaning the windshield and applying a water repelling window treatment product such as Rain-X or Zaino Glass Polish.
