This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the sixth generation "B16" (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 &
2012) Nissan Sentra sedan in changing a burnt out cargo area light
bulb in the trunk. Owners of other Nissan vehicles such as the Versa, Cube, Altima, Maxima, Leaf, Pathfinder, 370Z, Juke, Rogue, Xterra, Murano and Quest may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. A replacement bulb is part number 158 which is available from various manufacturers such as Sylvania, GE, PIAA and Eiko. If necessary, you may also use any other miniature wedge base bulbs such as the # 168, W5W, 2825 or a brighter LED unit. No tools are needed to replace the bulb. |

Pull Out Old Bulb |

Empty Bulb Socket |
The first two steps
are to pop open the trunk and then locate the bulb housing on the ceiling of
the trunk in between the two rear deck speakers. Gently pull back the plastic retaining clip on the front of the housing and swing open the plastic cover. If the old bulb was recently on or it is still illuminated, be careful since the bulb may be hot enough to burn your fingers. Pull the old bulb straight out of the socket. |

Push In New Bulb |

Snap Plastic Cover Closed |
Push a new #
158 bulb straight in to the socket.
(You could also use a 168, W5W
or 2825 light bulb.) If you would like to have a brighter cargo area light, install a compatible replacement 168 LED bulb. Close the plastic lens cover and gently snap the retaining clip back in to place. For more,
