| The tail light assembly of the 07-10 Ford Edge is held in place by two 8mm screws that are located underneath the rear cargo door or "hatch". I found it easiest to remove the two screws using an 8mm socket with extension bar on a ratcheting wrench. | ||||

| With the two 8mm screws removed, you can pull the tail light off the rear of the car. There are two metal spikes on the outer edge of the assembly that match up with two black plastic holes on the body of the vehicle. | ||||

| The first light bulb at the top of the tail light assembly is the reverse or "back up" light. It has a very light grey colored plastic base that can be removed by rotating it 1/4 turn counter clockwise and pulling it straight out. Remove the bulb from the socket by pulling it out. If it won't come out easily, try wiggling it as you pull. Replace the old bulb with a new # 921 bulb. Insert the bulb back into the tail light assembly and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to secure it. | ||||

| The bulb in the middle of the tail light assembly is a dual filament bulb that functions as the brake, parking and turn signal lights. It has a dark grey plastic base that can be removed by twisting it 1/4 turn counter clockwise. | ||||

| Pull out the old # 3157 bulb and replace it with a new one. (Sylvania lists the # 4157 bulb as the correct replacement.) Insert the new bulb and socket back into the tail light and twist it 1/4 turn clockwise to secure it. | ||||

| The lowermost bulb in the tail light assembly located close to the outer edge is the rear side marker bulb. The small light bulb socket is a light grey color. Remove it by rotating the base 1/4 turn counter clockwise and pulling it straight out of the assembly. | ||||

||
| To reattach the tail light assembly, first line up the two metal spikes on the outer edge with the two black holes on the body of the vehicle. Then push the tail light flush against the rear of the vehicle and screw in the two 8mm screws. Test the new bulbs by turning on the parking lights, the hazard lights, and having someone step on the brakes and put the vehicle in reverse. | ||||
