| The North Course
was designed by Slim Deathridge in 1946 and then refurbished in 1997. It
includes undulating greens, plenty of water hazards and is lined by dense
Florida oak and pine trees. The South Course, which is the original 18 hole
course designed by Donald Ross, is a bit less challenging for novice golfers
like myself. If you'd like to improve your game, the DBGC offers one on one golf lessons from PGA Director of Instruction Rod Perry. You can also work on your swing at the lighted driving range which is open seven days a week from 7 AM to 9 PM. Some of the upcoming events at the Daytona Beach Golf Club include the City of South Daytona Mayor's Golf Tournament (12-13-08), the free club fitting day (1-10-09 & 1-24-09), the Callaway Golf Demo Day (1-31-09), and the Ping Factory Fit Van Days (2-6 & 2-7-09). |
