Hello everyone!

My name is Paul B. Michaels. I grew up in New York and also Florida. My family moved to Florida in my early teens since my father wanted to avoid the frigid NYC winters.

Two of the major shared interests in my family have always been a love of travel and automobiles.

Some of my earliest memories are of helping my father work in his automotive repair shop, being at car shows, car races, motorcycle races or playing with a variety of R/C trucks, helicopters, boats and planes.

I also have older brothers who have worked as ASE certified professional auto mechanics and have always been passionate about cars, racing and performing DIY maintenance on our vehicles and homes.

My other long time hobbies and interests include photography and computers.

So in March of 2006, I combined all of my passions to create the "Paul's Travel Pictures" website.

I really enjoy being able to share our travel experiences with the world.

Plus when my wife and I aren't traveling, I love creating DIY guides for the "Miscellaneous" section of the website to help my fellow car, truck, motorcycle and SUV owners save money by keeping their beloved vehicles well maintained and running reliably for many years.

Each of my automotive repair guides is painstakingly created from my time in the garage taking pictures and notes while performing the procedures, researching the correct replacement part numbers, gathering any torque specifications from service manuals and writing out the instructions.

As of 2024, I now have about 34 years of experience repairing and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles.

I would also like to sincerely thank all of the visitors to this site for your support and encouragement during the past 18 years. Your many wonderful emails have really helped me stay motivated and keep on contributing to the automotive enthusiast community.
