If you need to manually move your 3rd generation (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2020) Kia Sorento due to a weak or dead 12V car battery, running out of fuel (gas), needing to be towed or some other mechanical issue, you’ll need to activate the transmission shift lock release in order to shift the gear selector from “Park” to “Neutral”.
