How to change the rear wiper blade on the
back windshield window of a 4th generation 2013-2016 Nissan Pathfinder.

Lift Arm Off Back Window |
This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the fourth generation (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and perhaps
also the refreshed 2017 model year) Nissan Pathfinder SUV in
changing the rear wiper blade on the back windshield window. Owners of other Nissan or Infiniti vehicles such as the Versa, Maxima, Juke, Rogue, Altima, Xterra, Sentra, Murano, Cube, Armada, Leaf, Quest, Frontier, Teana, 370Z, GT-R, Titan, G25, G37, M35, QX56, QX60 and M37 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The OEM rear window wiper blade size in inches is 12". A few compatible replacement wiper blades with their part numbers include the following: Michelin 9512, ANCO AR-12E, TRICO 12-J, Valeo R12B and Bosch H301. |

Wiper Arm Raised |
Rotate Away Old Blade |
The first step is
to gently raise the rear wiper arm off the back windshield. Then rotate the old wiper blade away from the wiper arm. |
|
Pop Bar Out of Socket |
Rotate Perpendicular |
Continue rotating the old wiper blade away from the wiper blade until the mounting bar in the center of the old blade pops out of the "C" shaped socket at the end of the wiper arm.
Old Wiper Blade Removed |
Mounting Bar - Old Blade |
I recommend buying
the Michelin 9512 rear wiper
blade since it has great reviews on Amazon. Hold the new wiper blade at an almost perpendicular angle to the wiper arm. Line up the mounting bar in the center of the new wiper blade with the "C" shaped socket at the end of the wiper arm. |

|
"C" Shaped Socket |
Line Up Bar & Socket |
The rubber wiper blade should be pointing away from the back of the vehicle.
Insert Bar In To Socket |
Rotate New Blade Parallel |
Push the mounting
bar in to the "C" shaped socket at the end of the wiper arm. Continue rotating the new wiper blade until it is parallel with the wiper arm. |
|
New Blade Secured |
Lower Arm To Window |
Double check that
the new wiper blade is securely attached to the wiper arm. Gently lower the wiper arm down to the back windshield window. For the best wiper performance, I recommend thoroughly cleaning off the back window and applying a glass treatment product such as Rain-X. For more,
