Footwell Light Bulb Replacement Guide
How to change a burnt out front passenger
footwell light bulb in an 8th generation 2016, 2017 or 2018 Nissan Maxima.

automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the eighth generation (2016, 2017, 2018 and maybe also
the 2019 and 2020 model years) Nissan Maxima sports sedan in
changing a burnt out front passenger side footwell light bulb
located under the glove box. Owners of other Nissan or Infiniti vehicles such as the Versa, Altima, Juke, Rogue, Rogue Sport, Murano, Xterra, Pathfinder, Sentra, Cube, Armada, Leaf, Quest, Frontier, 370Z, GT-R, Titan, Kicks, NV, NV200, G25, G37, M35 and M37 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The compatible replacement miniature wedge base light bulb is part number 158 (14V 3.4W). You can also use a brighter 158 LED bulb. No tools are needed to access and replace the light bulb. |

| The front passenger
side footwell light bulb can easily be accessed under the glove box. If the old bulb was recently turned on, allow it to cool off before touching it. The old bulb might still be hot enough to burn your fingers. |

| Pull the old light
bulb straight out of the socket. The OEM light bulb in this 2016 Maxima was a Toshiba 158. |

| Push a new #
158 light bulb straight
into the socket. If you'd like to have brighter footwell lights, install some compatible replacement 158 LED bulbs. |

| If the new light
bulb didn't turn on immediately, re-activate the interior lights by pressing
the "Unlock" button on the key fob. Be sure to record the bulb change in your car's service records. Please
