passenger seats. Owners of other Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or RAM vehicles such as the Avenger, 200, 300, Town & Country, Challenger, Charger, Dart, Durango, Journey, Patriot, Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, 1500, 2500, 3500, C/V Tradesman and ProMaster may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. A replacement festoon or "fuse" style bulb is part number 578 which is available from various manufacturers such as Sylvania, GE, PIAA and Eiko. You can also use a brighter 578 LED bulb. The only tool needed to replace the bulb is a small flathead screwdriver used to pry open the lens cover. |

Pry Open Lens Cover |
Swing Open To Right |
To prevent from
scratching the plastic surfaces, you may choose to cover the tip of your
screwdriver with a thin micro fiber cloth. Insert the blade of the small flathead screwdriver in to the notch on the left edge of the lens cover. Gently pry open the hinged lens cover and swing it open to the right side. |

Pull Out Old # 578 Bulb |
Old # 578 Festoon Bulb |
If the old bulb was recently illuminated, be
careful when you pull it out since it might still be hot enough to burn your
fingers. Grasp the old bulb with your thumb and forefinger before pulling it straight out of the socket. |

|
Push New Bulb In Socket |
Secure Housing In Headliner |
Push a new #
578 festoon style bulb straight in to the socket. Tip - If you are installing an LED bulb and it doesn't work at first, try pulling it out and flipping it around in the socket. Make sure that the plastic hook on the right side of the light housing is secure above the headliner. |
|
Close Lens Cover |
Gently Pop In Lens Cover |
Swing the hinged
lens cover closed towards the left side of the vehicle. Gently snap in the retaining tab on the left edge of the lens cover. To test the new dome light bulb, open the passenger door and/or press the "Unlock" button on the key fob. For more,
