on a 3rd generation 2013-2016 Hyundai Santa Fe with the part numbers.

This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the third generation (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and perhaps
also the face lifted 2017 model year) Hyundai Santa Fe in changing
the rear wiper blade on the back windshield window. Owners of other Hyundai or Kia SUV, hatchback or minivan vehicles such as the Sorento, Sportage, Sedona, Soul, Elantra, Veloster, Tucson, Forte, Cerato, Spectra, Accent, Sephia, i20, i30, ix35 and i40 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The compatible replacement OEM wiper blade is Hyundai or Kia part number 988502W000, 98850-2W000 or 98850 2W000. No tools are needed to remove the old wiper blade and install the new one. |

|
Gently Pull Off Base Cap |
Plastic Cover Removed |
The first step is
to gently pull off the "C" shaped black plastic cover on the base of the
wiper arm. Set the plastic cap aside in a safe place. (An alternative to installing a replacement Hyundai OEM wiper blade assembly is to buy any 14" wiper blade, remove the old rubber blade insert and replace it with the new one with out changing the actual plastic wiper blade assembly.) |
|
Raise Wiper Arm |
Rotate Away Old Wiper Blade |
Then gently lift
the wiper arm off the rear window.
Don't apply too much force to the wiper arm to avoid having it crack or break off. Rotate the old wiper blade away from the wiper arm. |
|
Pop Off Old Wiper Blade |
Mounting Bar & "C" Socket |
Continue rotating away the old wiper blade until you can pop the mounting bar out of the "C" shaped socket at the end of the wiper arm. | |
|
|
Line Up Bar & "C" Socket |
Pop Bar In Socket |
Line up the
mounting bar in the center of the new wiper blade with the "C" shaped socket
at the end of the wiper arm. The rubber wiper blade should be pointing away from the SUV and to the right (passenger) side of the vehicle. Snap the mounting bar in to the socket. |
|
Rotate Blade Parallel |
Lower Wiper Arm To Window |
Continue rotating
the new wiper blade until it is parallel with the wiper arm. Gently lower the wiper arm down to the back window. |
|
Push On Plastic Cover |
New Wiper Blade Installed |
Push the black
plastic cover on to the base of the wiper arm. For the best wiper performance, I highly recommend thoroughly cleaning off the back window and applying a glass treatment product that will repel water such as Rain-X. For more,
