Owners of other Nissan or Infiniti vehicles such as the Versa, Maxima, Juke, Rogue, Altima, Xterra, Pathfinder, Murano, Cube, Armada, Leaf, Quest, Frontier, Teana, 370Z, GT-R, Titan, G25, G37, M35, QX56, QX60 and M37 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

New mini blade fuses can be purchased at Amazon.com.

To access the interior fuse block, you'll need either a flathead screwdriver or a plastic pry bar tool.

A white plastic fuse puller tool should be included on the interior electrical block. If it is missing, you may use a pair of needle nose pliers with rubber insulated handles.

Then move to the right side of the engine bay. The fuse box is located just in front of the 12V automotive battery.

Press in the release tab on the right side of the cover and pull it straight off the top of the fuse box.

There is a fuse location diagram on the underside of the fuse box cover and also another one in your owner's manual.

The interior passenger compartment electrical panel is located on the outside edge of the dashboard on the driver's side of the car.

Use a plastic pry bar tool or a flathead screwdriver to gently pry out the access panel.

There is a fuse location diagram on the back side of the access cover.

Squeeze the end of the tool to open the jaws before placing them over the fuse you'd like to check or change.

Pull the old fuse straight out of its socket.

If the thin metal bar in the translucent plastic center of the old fuse appears to be intact, it is most likely still good. But since new fuses are so inexpensive, it should still be replaced as part of your electrical problem troubleshooting process.

If the thin metal strip in the middle of the old fuse appears to be burnt or broken, then it is most likely "blown" and needs to be replaced.

Be sure to purchase standard mini blade fuses and not the relatively newer style of "low profile" mini blade fuses. The "low profile" fuses will not fit if your Sentra is equipped with the slightly taller mini blade fuses.

Push a new fuse of the same amperage rating (e.g. 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25A) straight in to its socket.

Replace the fuse puller tool in to the top of the interior passenger compartment electrical panel.

Gently pop in the retaining clip on the rear edge of the cover to secure it in place.

Push the engine bay fuse box cover back in to place.

Check the electrical component that you were having problems with such as the horn, radio, headlights, tail lights, A/C system, gauges, 12V power socket, etc.

If you are still having the same problem, there might be a shorted wire or you may need to replace the component.
